At ReTreat Pet Services LLC, we believe compassion is the foundation of everything we do. Every pet and every family is unique, so we take the time to understand each animal’s personality, routine, and needs. From a giant breed dog to a sensitive house bunny, our goal is to provide care that feels personal, consistent, and loving.
We adjust our services to fit your pet’s temperament and your family’s schedule.
Big dogs, small dogs, or anything in between—we treat every pet with the same level of care and attention.
We’re committed to improving the lives of both pets and their families. Every visit is handled with care and consistency, no matter which team member you see.
Rigorous protocols designed to give you total peace of mind while your pets are in our care.
Every walk is planned with your dog’s safety in mind. Harnesses and leashes are checked before every outing, we follow strict street-crossing procedures, and off-leash exercise is only allowed in safe, designated areas like Carmel Beach and local open spaces for dogs with reliable recall. We also watch pavement temperatures and weather conditions to protect sensitive paws.
Your home's security is as important to us as your pet's safety. Whether we are visiting your home or a hotel, we take extra care with every entry and exit to ensure your space remains secure and your pets are safely contained. We keep keys safely on our person throughout the visit and double-check that everything is properly closed and locked anytime we leave. We use secure lockboxes or codes for access, ensuring your keys are always handled with care and stored safely between visits.
Every team member is trained in Pet First Aid and CPR, with formal certification completed within their first 90 days. We maintain comprehensive digital profiles for every pet—including medical history, allergies, and primary vet info. To ensure seamless care during the unexpected, we maintain signed authorizations for emergency veterinary treatment and designated emergency pet guardianship. Our staff is trained to execute these procedures with calm, decisive action under any pressure.
A journey of compassion, research, and a lifelong love for our animal companions.
Founder Kyra Neilly has over 13 years of hands-on animal care experience. She grew up with large-breed dogs, spent a decade in the 4-H Dog Project learning training and leadership skills, and later mentored younger participants. Combined with experiences in Girl Scouts, these formative years taught her patience, problem-solving, and a love for animals that informs every decision at ReTreat.
Kyra started ReTreat to provide more than standard pet care. She wanted a company that makes a real difference for pets, their families, and our team. That means prioritizing employee growth and well-being alongside pet safety and care.
July 2025 – Early 2026: Planning, research, and building a foundation for the company. Kyra refined operations to meet her high standards.
May 2026: Official launch! Every team member is carefully selected, trained, background-checked, and trained in Pet First Aid & CPR.
We’re dedicated to making a positive impact in our local and broader animal welfare communities. That includes building partnerships with rescues and advocating for animals in need. We also prioritize the health and well-being of our team, because happy, healthy caregivers provide the best care for your pets.

We tailor our services to your family's unique needs, ensuring peace of mind for you and happiness for your pets.
